Watch out for the Winter Woodland Elves causing mischief, tinkering with lights and sound to create a stunning party atmosphere in the woods, with the emphasis firmly on fun. The house itself will be populated with Christmas decorations, lights, and trees, and the cheeky elves will be hiding in the rooms.

4. Sledmere’s Santa Experience

Join Sledmere’s Santa Experience for a day of festive cheer with a pinch of magic and sleigh loads of family fun. Explore the Christmas village with animals to meet, games to play and stories from the North Pole to be heard. Then it’s time to meet the big man himself! You’ll spend some time with Santa before heading to the VIP elf store to choose a gift. Don’t forget to take a ride on the festive tractor ride and see Sledmere’s beautiful herd of red deer.

5. Enjoy a Pantomime

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs arrives at Bridlington Spa this December, providing festive fun that the whole family will love. Looking for a fun and free activity? Head out to Beverley Westwood, perfect for sledding and making snowmen. With 600 acres of gently sloping hills, there’s plenty of space for snowball fights and making snow angels.

7. Christmas Lights and Christmas Markets

Gather as a family, wrapped up in wolly hats and cosy coats, and explore East Yorkshire’s Christmas light switch-on events and Christmas markets. Most include plenty of activities for families, including Santa parades, children’s rides, snow globes and live entertainment.

8. Reindeer Trail in Beverley

From 19th November to 31st December reindeers will be on the loose, hiding in cultural sites, shops, and eateries. Pick up a trail map from Beverley Tourist Information Centre and once you’ve found them all return your completed map to be in with a chance of winning a plush Cairngorm reindeer!

9. Jump Inc, Beverley

Santa will be coming to Jump Inc’s toddler morning to hear what your little ones have on their Christmas list. Enjoy some time on the park to bounce and play before meeting the big man himself in his grotto. You’ll open an early Christmas present and have breakfast with all your new friends. Celebrate the New Year with the Flamborough Fire Festival, an event that is unique to the coastal village of Flamborough. The event includes torch processions, fire-juggling displays, a spectacular firework display, and the burning of a Viking longboat accompanied by traditional music.
